I’m a content designer, writer and editor with nearly 20 years’ experience making complex things easier to understand.
I started my career in magazines before moving through journalism, creative copywriting and charity communications. Along the way, I’ve written and edited everything from magazine features and brand stories to fundraising campaigns, websites, social content and podcast scripts.
In 2026, I moved into content design. It’s a new direction, but one that builds on the things I’ve always been most interested in: understanding what people need, making sense of complicated information and finding the clearest, most useful way to communicate it.
Before making the move, I worked with organisations including Cats Protection, Marie Curie, Age UK, Canal & River Trust and the National Garden Scheme, alongside brands including Yeo Valley, Whole Earth, Belvoir, Dorset Cereals, Tyrrells and Riverford.
I also spent five years as a travel journalist, visiting very beautiful places and insisting that I was, in fact, working. For a time I wrote the horoscopes in Sugar magazine, an assignment that came with training at the College of Psychic Studies but, unfortunately, zero psychic abilities.
