I’m a copywriter and editor with nearly 20 years’ experience in editorial and brand storytelling. I started out as a magazine sub-editor and journalist before moving into creative copywriting and, eventually, the charity sector.

I now help organisations like Cats Protection, Marie Curie, Age UK and Canal & River Trust tell their stories. That means developing tone of voice, shaping campaign narratives and writing everything from fundraising appeals to social content and podcast scripts.

Previously, I wrote for brands including Yeo Valley, Whole Earth and Riverford. I spent five years as a travel journalist, visiting very beautiful places and insisting that I was, in fact, working. I also spent a year or so writing the horoscopes for Sugar magazine, a side hustle that came with training at the College of Psychic Studies but, unfortunately, zero psychic abilities.

I live in Brighton with my partner, Joe, and our cat, Rudy.
